For 30 years since it was founded, OLTER has been able to expand and develop according ti the requirements of the seed market.
The establishment of a research center, about 25 years ago, and the adoption of precise marketing strategies has allowed us to acquire a remarkable knowledge of technology, as well as the placement on the highest market sector.

OLTER's staff were able ti build the firm's future thanks to their personal commitment and variety of personal experience.
By diversifying its resources according to the market requirements, OLTER is now able to offer a complete advanced service.

The Research
The research department, which has been active since 1965 with the help of a modern and dynamic operative staff, has developed an important genetic plan for improvement of vegetable varieties.



New programmes ti study the improvements of germination results of seeds in unfavorable thermal conditions has benn lately activated, with the purpose of creating products that can be cultivated in periods different from the traditional ones.

During the last few years OLTER's research departement has achived remarkable results:

  • Over 15 market leading varieties.
  • The succeful introduction of genetic resistance ti the Verticillium in the main varieties of eggplants.
  • The transfer of the "pathenocarpia" gene in the new commercial verieties of peppers, tomates and squash
  • The introduction of new hybrid varieties of red chicory.

These recent results have allowed OLTER's marketing ti introduce into the vegetable market new exclusive products world-wide, wich bear winess to continuous technological advancement.
